In addition to good recipes, the ingredients are also first rate. Fruits, vegetables, legumes and meats come from the best productions in California. Everything fresh, straight to the table.

Enjoy the kiosks that sell unique delicacies. The abundance of spices is an invitation to venture into other less traditional cuisines.

Hollywood & Highland Center

Hollywood and Highland is much more of a tourist destination than a shopping center. With an extravagant construction, where giant portals are adorned by elephants, it is one of the most photographed attractions in Los Angeles. In addition to the architecture, the place offers a beautiful – and very distant – view of the Hollywood sign. The walkway – where the sign can be seen – is almost mandatory, but it is by no means the best place to observe the most famous tourist spot in Los Angeles.

Rodeo Drive and the Golden Triangle

In the fashion world, few streets are as famous as Rodeo Drive. The reason? It contains all the major international luxury brands. Burberry, Chanel, Carolina Herrera, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada are just some of the more well-known names you will see there. Some brands are so exclusive that they go unnoticed by the public less attentive to the fashion world.

Regardless of having – or not – funds on your credit card to buy something there, walking down the street is already a worthwhile walk. Believe! Viewing the windows is free! So be sure to take a walk amid the famous palm trees on Rodeo Drive. Speaking of celebrities, there is your biggest chance to see some Hollywood stars. It’s not just a movie thing, like the classic A beautiful woman, starring Julia Roberts. They actually open their wallets in the stores there.

In addition to the brands located specifically on Rodeo Drive, the surrounding area also houses exclusive haute couture stores. The meeting of Santa Monica Boulevard, Wilshire Boulevard and Canon Drive is known as The Golden Triangle, or Golden Triangle. The name has a reason: these blocks are home to the most expensive stores in the city.

Forget the prices in the window, because they are never exposed. If you want to enter one of the stores and live a diva experience, wear an elegant outfit and go with the face and courage. The stores are so refined that they naturally amaze anyone who is not in the spirit of a buyer. When else can you try a model worthy of an Oscar night, right?

Just two blocks from the beach, Santa Monica Place is part of one of the best shopping areas in Los Angeles. Extension of the Third Street Promenade (they are separated only by a traffic light), Santa Monica Place attracts the public that lives the cool climate of the coast. Despite having the traditional shopping format, this shopping center excels in outdoor spaces and a wooded terrace. It is as if you are still with your feet in the sand.

The Grove

The name already sets the mood for the place. The Grove, or Bosque, is charming. Far beyond a simple shopping mall, the space is great for strolling outdoors. The central plaza, covered with grass, fountains, bandstands, bridges and trees, is an invitation to relax amid the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. One of the biggest attractions of the mall is the historic cable car – from 1759 -, which circulates throughout the area and takes tourists for free for a delicious walk.

The space is frequented by people of all ages and is on the list of favorites of the famous. Look through the caps and sunglasses of anyone passing by. It is not uncommon for striking Hollywood stars in the area.

In addition to the Grove being an attraction in itself, the set of stores is also great. The Original Farmers Market

Traditional throughout California, Farmer’s Markets are the favorite selling point for local producers. The goods, which vary between vegetables and animals, are always fresh and come straight from the farms to the stalls and restaurants in these gastronomic havens.

Among so many options, the most traditional is the Original Farmer´s Market. Since 1934, he has delighted tourists and residents with the huge variety of products, restaurants, delicatessens and product shops that seem to have come straight from the homes of American grandparents. It is difficult to resist traditional apple pies, donuts and muffins.

The cuisine is not restricted to American cuisine, quite the opposite! There you can try delicacies and snacks of various nationalities. Koreans, Japanese, Thai, French, Spanish, Brazilians, Italians, Mexicans, Singaporeans, Turks and Greeks are very well represented there. All this diversity is the face of Los Angeles!

You don’t even have to spend a lot, or waste time sitting at the tables. The good thing is to go from tent to tent experiencing a little of each thing. There are more than 100 stores. You will discover incredible flavors in all of them!

The Original Farmer’s Market is next door to The Grove mall. The region guarantees one of the most pleasant tours to do in Los Angeles. After buying some culinary ingredients, hurry up to see windows (and, who knows, fill bags) in the Grove.

Third Street Promenade and Downtown Santa Monica

The location, almost on the edge of Santa Monica beach, already sets the mood for the Third Street Promenade. The region, transformed into an open-air mall, is an invitation to an unpretentious walk, whether for those looking to buy or just to watch fashion pass. All reserved for pedestrians, it is filled with street artists who make the avenue an even more relaxed environment. It is an excellent walk before or after going to the beach.

The most famous of the streets in the Downtown Santa Monica area is Third Street, but the shopping area also extends between Ocean Avenue and Seventh Street. In addition to the shops, some theaters, cinemas, bars and many restaurants are attractive to extend the tour until night. Specialties travel the world: Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Greek, British, Spanish, not to mention the Los Angeles classics, such as the Mexican and the American. Cuisine for all tastes and flavors!

Shopping is also not disappointing and stores are of excellent quality: Apple Store, GAP, Urban Outfitters, Guess and H&M are just a few examples of good shopping opportunities. Across the street, the Santa Monica mall complements the Third Street Promenade and makes the area one of the best for shopping in Los Angeles. It is difficult to resist the temptation of the beach.

Anyone who thinks the fun ends when the Universal Studios doors close is wrong. It is at this very moment that the Citywalk, Universal’s entertainment street, is taken by visitors. While the park ends its activities, on this street the fun has just begun!

The options are many for those who are willing to prolong the night, starting with the nineteen movie theaters – among them seven IMAX! In addition to being fun, you still stay in the cinematic theme proposed by Universal Studios.

After the rush between one toy and another, it’s time to pay more attention to the windows. The Citywalk offers good stores, including Abercombie & Fitch, Fossil and Guess. The best, however, is to take advantage of the thematic options. The films and drawings seen inside the park are printed on T-shirts, mugs, caps and all kinds of souvenirs. More elaborate souvenirs, such as action figures, are a hit with moviegoers who visit specialty stores.

After shopping, it’s time to take advantage of the abundant food options. Universal Citywalk concentrates some of the gastronomic classics of Los Angeles, such as: Johnny Rockets, Tommy’s and Pink’s. In addition to snack bars, the space is surrounded by good restaurants. It’s time to sit back and relax.

If there is still energy left, how about enjoying the end of the night over there? Live performances take place, free of charge, on the central stage of the Citywalk. In addition to the shows, nightclubs attract a large audience, regardless of the park. Enjoy the ride, even if you haven’t spent the day at Universal Studios.
