Considered one of the fashion capitals of the world, Milan has a lot to offer to those who are looking for good shopping opportunities. Scattered throughout the city – well known, even, for the style of its inhabitants – there are entire streets dedicated to consumption, in addition to shopping malls and outlets that sell items of all types and for the most diverse types of pockets.

Those who do not miss a good sales season can take advantage of the months of January and July to buy with unmissable discounts. It is also good to remember that stores with the tax free sticker refund VAT (VAT, in Italian).

Shops in the capital of the Lombardy region are generally open on Mondays, from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. It is good to remember, however, that not all stores in the city take this “break” during lunch hours and some establishments in the center of Milan also end up opening on Sundays. Outlet

In Milan you can find the main and most important brands in the fashion world – several of them Italian – but that does not mean that prices are so advantageous. A good option for those who wish to purchase exclusive pieces at lower prices are outlets, such as FoxTown, which is about 50km from the city. You can find all the information about the place here.

Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery

In the center of Milan, right next to the city’s cathedral, the visitor will find this beautiful building started in 1865 by the architect Giuseppe Mengoni. The magnificence of the building – inaugurated by the honoree himself, the king of Italy Vittorio Emanuele – is already evident at the entrance, which is made through a majestic Arc de Triomphe.

About 200 meters take the visitor from the beginning of the gallery to Piazza della Scala, on the other side. Inside, however, the immensity of details does not go unnoticed, such as the central octagon, where there is a vault 47 meters high. Inside the gallery, visitors will also find some luxury stores and several refined restaurants and cafés, such as Savini, which has delicious ice creams.
