The climate of Akagera National Park

Akagera National Park is a large national park in eastern Rwanda, close to the border with Tanzania. The park takes its name from the Kagera River, which flows through the park. The park consists of a mountain area, a savanna and a swamp area. In addition to nearly 500 different bird species, the park is home to lions, zebras, antelopes, hippos, buffalo, leopards, monkeys, impala, giraffes, elephants, eland and warthogs.
